Canadian Tire Thursday Men's League (2025)
Welcome to the 2025 Season which is also our 70th year of the Thursday Men's League presented by Canadian Tire. We are excited to continue one of the longest running Men's Leagues in Canada.

DRAFT
There will be a Live Draft on Saturday, May 3rd @ 7:00 PM at our new clubhouse to select the teams for the upcoming season. Captains will be selected, and a draft will be held online using player data from previous seasons when possible.
Entry Fee: $138.00 (including applicable taxes) Starts Thursday May 8th
FORMAT
Teams will consist of 8 players and will be selected based on 9-hole handicaps to maintain competitive balance. Example
2 from each flight when possible. Teams will play head to head matches in a round-robin format with the winners of each weekly match earning 10 points, 5 points if there is a tie and O for the teams that lose.
These are Team Performance Points. The Team Participation Points are added to those also.

Tuesday Men's PROGS League. Starts Tuesday May 6
PROGS stands for “Progressive Reduction of Golf Scores.” In the spirit of getting better at this humbling game, the league is meant to be competitive in a good-natured way, akin to a mini tournament each week. The game is based on Quota Points, with a weekly skins game and prizes for the top individual and teams, drawn from a $5 weekly fee.
Weekly groups are set up to get you playing with a large variety of other league members, with the goal of not playing with the same person more than once or twice during the year! Play your best, enjoy the company, and commiserate together after the round.
We tee-off each Tuesday, starting about 9:45 with the last time depending on the number of groups - usually between 12:00 and 12:30. Scoring and prizes follow the round each week.
Play usually begins the first full week of May, with the season wrapping up about 20 weeks later with a much anticipated final day team tournament and banquet held in late September or early October, with Prizes and Dinner covered by the approximate $80 fee.
Members of Erie Shores Golf and Country Club, in good standing, are welcome as members of the Men's PROGS league after paying the $10 league fee. As PROGS is not a club competition, membership in the league is at the discretion of the conveners. As of this writing, there is a waiting list to join the league, but anyone who is interested in joining is encouraged to reach out to the league convernors via the email address at the end of the message.
To assist in scheduling and to make good use of our allotted tee times, the guideline is that you anticipate attending 80% of the time.
League members may invite Guests to join the field, space permitting, with each guest limited to 2 visits per year. However, guests are not eligible to participate in the league games.
Most importantly, league members are responsible for maintaining a proper handicap via the Golf Canada website, in accordance with Golf Canada World Handicap System Rules and the requirements of the Erie Shores Handicap Committee. If you are not certain of the procedure used to calculate and enter your score via Golf Canada or have questions regarding the requirements of the Handicap Committee, please contact the Pro Shop or a member of the Handicap Committee.

Wednesday Night Ladies League (2025)
Wednesday's - May 7
Join and take part of one of the best Ladies League's in Essex County! With 20 weeks of regular league nights, meet up with your friends and enjoy a round of 9 holes. Throughout the league year, a variety of different games are played. This year's "Fun Night" shotgun start is scheduled to take place in July, followed by a "UNICO Appreciation Dinner." This league is a great way to enjoy a fun round of golf for new and experienced golfers. Great company and great course conditions provide an inviting atmosphere for everyone!

Erie Shores Senior Men's League (2025)
Monday's - May 5
Every Monday, come out and join the guys for a great day of golf. Tee time starts will get everyone on the course and finished in time for lunch and a cold beverage after the round. No obligation to play every week, come take advantage of the best green fee rate of the week. Closest to the Pin & Longest Putt competition, league only handicap software and a season long "FedEx Cup" style points race make this one of the best leagues around!

Reid Funeral Home Ladies Golf League (2025)
Beginning May 5 – End of September Open to members and non-members
We invite lady golfers to join our 9-hole league on Monday afternoons (2:45 – 4:15). We play a different game each week. There are also prizes for longest putt and chip-ins. We have an opening season get-together, two league fun nights, and we wrap things up with a banquet and prizes for everyone in the first week of October.

Tuesday Ladies 18 Hole or 9 Hole League (2025)

Ladies! Looking for a fun golf league? Join this long-standing and very friendly league as a player in either the 9-hole group or the 18-hole group. This is a social league, with tee groups arranged to mix up players within each group as much as possible.
Our tee times begin for the 18 hole group at 8:00 each Tuesday. The 9-hole group begins their play after the last group of 18-hole players have left the starting tee.
Special activities on our annual golf calendar:
Weekly Longest Putt Contest: Voluntary participation for both groups – put a Loonie in the jar and sign up before teeing off. Winner takes the entire pot!
1st Tuesday in May: Shotgun start at 8:00 (approx. 10 am for 9-hole group), followed by a luncheon / meeting to begin the year.
1st Tuesday in July Shotgun start at 8:00 (approx. 10 am for 9-hole group), followed by a luncheon / meeting. This is UNICO Day, a day to show appreciation for our long-time sponsor.
Field Day in August: 18-hole group. Various categories and events earn cash prizes.
Net Championship in September: This event covers 2 weeks of play, with the prize winner of each group being the player with the lowest combined net score after both weeks. Immediately following play on the 2nd day, both groups join together for the Annual Social Potluck.
Last Tuesday in September: Shotgun start at 8:00 (approx. 10 am for 9-hole group), followed by a luncheon / meeting to end the year and present all prizes and awards.
Prizes / Awards: Each group runs their own weekly games and follows their chosen method for awards and prizes. Prizes awarded to all players at the end of the year. Each group maintains a separate RINGER BOARD, which is included in the respective prize structure.
Handicaps are updated monthly for each group and used for the entire month. Both groups use official GAO (Golf Association Ontario) Handicaps.
You must have / establish a handicap with the GAO.

Friday Night Mixed Starts May 9
Hello Everyone!
With golf season just around the corner, we would like to remind everyone of our Friday Mixed Golf League.
The league is a fun and friendly outing with a weekly ‘game’ run by a different host each week. While the league is geared towards couples, individual Primary or Spousal Members can also join.
If you are joining as a couple, at least one partner must be a Primary or Spousal member of Erie Shores.
As many of the weekly games are handicapped, every participant in the league must establish and maintain a Golf Canada Handicap. Don't let requiring a handicap scare you off - it really is not a big deal! Please contact the Pro Shop if you have questions regarding obtaining a Golf Canada Handicap for your non-member partner.
We tee off Friday’s beginning at noon or just before, with a wrap-up get together following golf each week to do the scoring.
Even though we have enjoyed our time under the tents these past few years, we are all looking forward to the opening of our new Clubhouse and sit down food service!
